Happy Birthday Patrick. After the thousandth time you apologized to me I still didn’t forgive you. When the news of your accident got to me, I knew. The sad realness of the situation hadn’t hit me. I’m not sure what year but, one of my friends at the time well she was obsessed with you. She would make me take walks past your house and near the Marina just in the hopes she would see you. I remember walking barefoot across town at two am with you. You showing up at my window scaring me. Every time you would apologies for grade school. It got annoying so one day I said “Pat I get it! Apology accepted!”. It hurts everyday that I didn’t really accept that apology. Last month I was on the phone with Chrissy and a memory came back to me. Halloween. Jessie’s house as my friends and I are walking away you pull up. Everybody’s life changed later that night. Four years later and here’s not a day that passes me that I don’t think of you.
